Kraken
" The Kraken (/ˈkreɪkən/ or /ˈkrɑːkən/)[1] is a legendary sea monster of large proportions."
The Kraken has been a popular model since it launched in 2015. This year I made a few changes to the design. The riser geometry is new, with the throat of the grip being one inch in front of the fade-outs. This means that the new deflex riser makes the bow very forgiving to shoot.
The other change to the design is that both action bamboo core laminations are in front of the riser.
The new Kraken is also available with the new Timberpoint C² double carbon limbs.
The new C² limbs have a unidirectional carbon back, two action bamboo core laminations, then a layer of weaved carbon and finally Bo-Tuff ULS glass on the belly.
The mass of a typical Kraken is about 3 pounds. Of course this can vary a bit depending on the wood used in the riser. The core of the riser is still DarkTimber, which is very strong and heavy.
I will add more photos when available. Of course the new Kraken can be made with all the wood/colour combinations as the other models. The best place to see photos of bows that I have made is on the Timberpoint Archery facebook page.

These prices are the base prices and certain extras like exotic woods or veneer on the limbs have an extra charge. We can discuss this when you want to place an order.
In this photo the size of the Kraken riser is clearly visible. This bow was made from maccasar ebony with a solid Dark Timber curve. The front section of the riser is also made from Dark Timber and has ebony scales over it to keep the nice wood grain in the bow design.

This Kraken is made from osage orange and has cocobolo over the Dark Timber curve.
The Dark Timber is clearly visible here. The front section of this riser has the yellow osage orange scales covering it, and you can see the Dark Timber in the sight window. The same goes for the curve with the cocobolo scales.

Maccasar ebony with caramel bamboo was used for this bow.
Here I used maccasar ebony and santos palisander, with red padauk accent lines.
Here are tow photos showing the Kraken limbs at brace. This bow is 67" long and the brace height is 8".
The D shape of the bow is very obvious.
